Kabar/Cosmos, the leading producers of Radio Frequency heat sealing equipment, have been in business for over 50 years. They offer a wide range of options from standard machinery to fully automatic systems including shuttles, turntables, in-line indexers, robotic feeders (material and board), stripping, cutting, and stacking stations, etc. In addition, they have a large tool and die manufacturing facility capable of creating customized sealing dies for a complete in-house "turnkey" operation.

Kabar ordered their first Fryer, a VB-40, for their production area in February, 2000. The machine has handled their work so well that as older machines retire from service they are replaced with Fryers resulting in the purchase of a Fryer VB-60 in 2002 and another VB-60 in 2003.

Chief programmer & operator Jagdav Singh tells us that "bigger is better." Singh notes that the large table size and large travels make setup easier. There are plenty of other elements that have made Singh's life easier -- the Anilam Touch 6000 all digital control makes importing Mastercam simple. And, he says, the recently installed high speed networking option has spoiled him after years of working with RS-232. The most important benefit to Kabar has been increased productivity that ease of programming and reliability has brought to their production floor.
